John Loos

John Loos is a writer, improviser and a comedian. He has performed for Second City at Sea on three NCL ships and is an ensemble member of the sketch group GayCo Productions, joining in 2007. He’s written several plays performed at The Annoyance Theater, including Lady Balls and A Woman’s Path. He is also the creator of the web series Cheryl Still Single and Sunday Funday. He’s also a contributing writer to The Second City Network. His comedy series “Too big for this World” has received four nomination on this year’s Indie Series Awards (two of them for John himself: best comedy writing, best actor).

Explore ways to heighten the scene from 3 dimensions: Character, Relationship and Environment. Using short-form methods to analyse and strengthen long-form work, you will discover new games and find the fun while staying grounded. John Loos will help you practice making bigger, bolder choices in heightening the scene while staying connected to your scene partners and honest to your character.
